Advertiser

Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark.  You know what you are doing, but nobody else does.
 -- Steuart Henderson Britt

There are many ways to advertise your business.  You have to find the one that is a right fit for your personality and the most effective for your type of business.

Be Subtle

This is the challenging part of your business venture.  Sometimes folks object to a hard sell, to being approached in any way to listen to a sale's pitch, or to advertising in general.  You have to be subtle.

Paint your ad on park benches, on bus stop benches, or set your own bench out in your yard.

Print your ad on refrigerator magnets and mouse pads to give away.

 Be Cheap

Not only do you have to be aware of attitudes, you have to figure out where to put your ads and how much to spend.  It is always better to get as much free advertising as you can get.  You will have to pay some so be prepared for that.  It costs money to make money.

It all depends on what service or product you have.  You will have to research the Internet to find what is available online.  If you sell locally, find out where you can place flyers and business cards for free.

Find a display window or two that will let you advertise in a corner of the window.  Make your own very creative display to blend in with the one already there.

Place ads up on bulletin boards wherever you can find them.

Be Talkative

Word of mouth works wonders.  Do not be shy.  This is America.  This is how the Free Enterprise system works.  Small businesses are the backbone of America and you are part of that.

 Be Creative

place your design on a door hanger for advertising

Use your creatively designed business card or dorr hangers to get the word out.  Hand them out.  Post them on bulletin boards everywhere.  Leave them on desktops, countertops, and laptops all over town.

Advertise on your car and pay others to advertise for you.  Paint old cars or just use magnetic signs.  Make certain that all trafficc laws are observed and that you do not cut off any drivers or they will definitly take note of your ad and avoid your business.

Check out these unique ways to advertise your business.

Be Stylish

Advertise your business on your T-shirt. Give your advertising shirts to friends and relatives to wear.  The human billboard is most effective.
