Make money as an entrepreneur working at home by begining a ministry, counseling, and/or wedding business.

The Ministry Business

Hold services outside. Hold them in your own backyard, a park, a mountaintop, or any other interesting outdoor site. Some churches hold Easter Sunrise services outdoors and that is it. More services should be held outside throughout the year. There should be dinner on the grounds each and every week, weather permitting.

Get a group together who will be willing to listen to you, be comforted by you, married by you, and who are willing to pay your salary.

You can go the seminary route and be ordained and licensed within an established organization or strike out on your own. It is amazing how many online sites will license you and provide you with the courses you need. Check the resources below for information on getting a license.

It helps if you can sing and play an instrument. Those skills round out the ministry business.

There's money to be made in the business of love. Weddings, for instance. You provide the religious aspect, the government provides the legal documents. Check out the rules for holding wedding ceremonies in each state from the NationalAssociation of Wedding Ministers.

Free Funerals

You will be needed in times of joy and sorrow. You should perform funerals for free.

Make and Sell Pine Box Caskets

Reduce the price of caskets for your customers. The Baby Boomers are getting older and will appreciate your service. Make caskets of pine and easily affordable and available. Paint some white so that the notes that are written on the sides with colorful markers are easily readable.

The Angel Business

Angels guide, guard, protect, and comfort us. Make and sell angels. Make them using all kinds of artistic means. Put them in stained glass or metal art. Put them in jewelry or make Christmas tree ornaments. There is no end to the materials you can use or the ways you can use angels.

Inspirational Crafts

Decorate the worship area with worship banners and flags. Make inspirational kits to sell for kids using beads, felt, ceramics, or other kid-friendly materials. Make door knob hangers, tree ornaments, or make crosses to hang by a bed, or carry in a purse. Use wood burning or engraving tools to put a blessing or verse on wall hangings.

The Wedding Counseling Business

Offer counseling services to newly engaged couples. Offer compatibility testing for couples who are dating. Offer economic testing for anyone thinking of ever getting married because marriage is an economic decision as well as a decision of the heart. Wedding and Honeymoon Guide Consultant

Put the entire wedding service, reception, and honeymoon together in a packaged deal for the engaged couple. Put together a package deal for the couple that includes photographs, the ceremony, cake, and the works. You are limited only by your imagination. Chose a theme to tie it all together.

How to find Customers

Keep a runing ad in the want ad section of your newspaper if you live in a very large metropolitan area. Create a brochure showing your various wedding packages. Notify high school counselors to offer your counseling services to show kids the economic impact of marriage and how to postpone marriage until they can afford it.
