Clay Potter

Some men must follow, and some command, though all are made of clay. -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Make money at home as an entrepreneur making pottery and clay bricks and desiging with claymation.

Make Pottery

If you're interested in an activity that's really hands-on (and a bit messy too), then you might like making pottery!  This is great for beginners too because you can make so many things, and there ae so many different clays to use and methods of production.  No matter the outcome, crafting something with your own hands is truly rewarding and profitable.

Some clays are sun dried so you do not have to invest in a kiln. Some clays require a kiln.  Some love the terra cotta sun dried clay. You will find your speciality as you experiment.

Some objects require a potter's wheel.  Some objects are shaped by hand.

Try polymer clay for making beautiful jewelry.  A polymer clay oven is listed in the resource section below.

Some creations you can try are bowls, dishes, urns, vases, Christmas ornaments, figurines, plantholders, statues, windchimes, candle stands, beads, and more. Be sure not to eat off of the bowls or dishes unless the glaze is safe.

 Make Sun-Dried Bricks

And if you want to get even more hands-on and involved, you can make your own clay.  Making sun dried bricks for edging in the yard is an art.  Make and sell these.  Engrave with special words before totally dried.

Design Claymation

You'll love making movies with clay figures.  Use artist's clay to make the figures.  Use a digital camera, a computer, and the special software (below) to create movies -- claymation.  Make the movies about the history of your town, about a special event, or any other topic of interest.  Sell your movies.  Be certain that everyone knows you hold the copyright.
