Homemade Papermaker

Writing is thinking on paper.-- William Zinsser

homemade paper

Make money as an entrepreneur working at home by making paper, pop up books, greeting cards, stationery.  Create with paper mache and calligraphyBind books and cut silhouettes.

Papermaker

By making your own paper, you not only create something beautiful, you also help keep the environment green by recycling.  Use all kinds of paper.  You just soak, blend, and mold.  You can make paper in all kinds of sizes and shapes depending upon the shape of your mold. Now you have something really special for your notes, greeting cards, and books.  With the use of the email, we have lost the art of letter writing.  This is a skill you can teach along with teaching paper making.  Check out other ideas for writers.

Paper Engineer

from www.origami-store.com

Paper can be folded into all kinds of useful shapes. Make your own gift boxes for a special touch.  Create little tiny animals using origami and fill a glass jar with them.  Make larger shapes for centerpieces at home and for the office.

Make Pop Up Books and Greeting Cards

Make books and greeting cards with pages that pop up.

 Create a Stationery Line

Create your own stationary line.  Make the items necessary for scrapbooking -- all from homemade paper.  Make paper toys,  gift cards, and recipe cards.

  Create with Paper Maché

from www.amazingrecycled.com

This is a messy craft, but well worth it.  You can make small pieces of fruits and vegetables for diplay in a bowl as a dining table centerpiece.  Make the bowl itself, too. You can make giant shapes such as a knight in shining armor standing guard near the front door. Or shapes of people (life size) carrying out different activities for store window displays.  These must be kept inside and out of the elements. Make interesting pieces of jewelry.

Silhouettist

silhouettes

Make beautiful profile silhouettes of children. Amaze all with your ability to cut all kinds of shapes out of paper.  Hire yourself out at parties, weddings, or in department stores in shopping malls.  Moms love to have the profile of their precious children cutout on black paper to frame to hang in the living room.

Bookbinder

Bookbinding is an important skill and goes along with making paper.  You can make super books filled with your blank homemade paper.  The cover is also homemade paper with decorative features added such as a bouquet of dried, pressed flowers.

Calligrapher

calligraphy

Calligraphy writing skills are needed for addressing wedding invitations, party invitation, and graduation invitations.  Hire your services to resturants for writing their menus. You can use this beautiful style of writing to write poetry into your homemade paper books to sell for special occasions.  Use this letter writing form to etch names into glasses and to engrave stone.
