Life is a mosaic.

This is a self-taught craft, one you can easily learn if you are willing to put in the time.  There are online tutorials as many artisans share their knowledge and experience with everyone. 

You can make individual pieces to sell.  Table tops and wall hangings are favorites.  You can cover just about any surface like a window, a ceramic pot, garden signs, or the inside of a wheelbarrow.  You can even cover a sidewalk at the entrance to your house.  For outdoor pieces you must use a weather-proof material.  There are concrete backers at your hardware store that are easy to cut.  Just be careful and wear a mask when cutting as you do not want to breath the concrete particles.

You may consider doing large pieces of work for customers.  Mosaics cover floors, walls, ceilings, show doors, and almost anywhere you can think of.  With the right preparation, you can even learn how to do beautiful mosaic designs in the bottom of swimming pools. 

This is a perfect form of art for outdoor garden designs when done in glass tiles.  These pieces catch the light and reflect all the beauty and joy of your creation.
