Nature Photography

Make money working from home as a nature photographer.  Use your photographs to make crafts and related items to sell.

Photograph Nature

You have to get outside to photograph nature.  Start in your own big yard.  You won't find lions and tigers, but you will find birds, squirrels, insects, plants, and an entire world undiscovered -- all of it outside.  Or you can take outdoor family photos or pet pictures.  Grab a camera and start taking pictures.  Learn all you can, then graduate to a better camera.  Take close-ups, wide angle, black and white, and color photographs.  Take your pictures in all kinds of different lighting situations. Take pictures from various angles, on the ground on your stomach; on the ground on your back; from up in a tree, or from inside the house through the windows.

Photograph Underground Life

film

Don't forget there is a world underground and you should go there.  Dig a hole and photograph the cross sections showing bugs in their habitat.  Take pictures of bugs we never see deep under ground.  Who are these little guys?

Create your Own Photo Show

flower

Publish your photographs.   Make lots of copies so you can do all kinds of things with them. Frame them to create your own photo gallery. Start a collection of different themed photo albums. Have your own local show.  Invite the entire community. Show off the framed photos and sell the albums. Create a website to show off your work.

Create Your own Line of Greeting Cards, Posters, and Calendars

Create a greeting card line using your photographs.  Make posters and calendars. Create wallpaper and nature murals from your photographs.

Create your Own Outdoor Photography Studio

Don't forget to include human subjects.  If your backyard could be the perfect background for romantic prom or wedding photos, you can charge a fee for those photos.

And remember the pets. Lots of pet lovers take their precious pets to be professionally photographed. There is no reason not to use your yard as the backdrop.  Your backyard is your photography studio.  Rain or shine.

Where to sell your Photographs

Try Outdooreyes.  You set up your own gallery to sell your photographs online.
