Water Problem Solver

Install Sprinkler Systems

sprinkler

Make money working from home with water sprinklers, rain gutters, rain chains, garden bridges, and designing backyard rain forests.

There is a demand for water sprinkler systems installed in front and backyards of homes across the nation.  Learn how to do it.  You will need to have a good source for materials.  Buy wholesale.  Check out Internet sources and compare prices.  You will need to have a strong work force to dig the trenches to lay the plastic pipes.  You will need training and an education as to where to lay the pipe.  You cannot dig up someone’s front yard without considering how the water will spray to ensure that the entire yard is covered.  Consider working for a landscape company for awhile until you learn how it is done.  Get on-the-job training before striking out on your own.  But never lose sight of your dream to be your own boss.

Install Rain Gutters

Folks need advice and help solving drainage problems in their yards.  Even when gutters are installed, some rains are so heavy that the gutters overflow.  You will need to know how many downspouts are needed.  You will need to buy equipment and the machines necessary to cut the gutters.  You cannot be afraid of heights.

Create Rain Chains

There are all kinds of beautiful substitutions for downspouts.  You can learn to make these and offer these substitutes to your customers.   Check out our page about metalsmith art for more ideas. Create a brochure for the services and products you offer

Dig Dry Creek Beds

People need to understand how their foundations can be affected by the rainy season and the dry season.  When guttering is not enough or water still stands in the backyard, consider building a dry creek bed for your customers.

 Build Garden Bridges

Dress it up with plants and a garden bridge. Learn to build the garden bridges yourself and offer this service to  your customers.

Design Water Collection and Conservation Methods

rain barrel

An idea that is catching on is to collect excess rain water runoff into barrels. The water is then used later to water gardens in between rains.

Another idea is to build a rain garden.  This is a trench or ponding area about 6 inches deep to catch the water that overflows from your roof.  Beautify the rain garden with rocks and plants. It is hard work, but profitable.

You can make money solving the water problems of the folks in your town.  You can expand this to advice-giving in the form of a newsletter or speeches.  Become a consultant.  Create a PowerPoint slide show to instruct your audience as to how they can do this themselves. Teach classes on water conservation.

                                               Create Rain Forests

Create a rain forest in your backyard.  Use your water collection to keep it wet.  Install a mister system.  Once you have yours installed, show it off and get customers.  Advertise your services.  Maker you own misters to package and sell.

                                                 Dowse for Water

Locate water for customers by using a willow twig, brass rods, or coat hangers. Folks need to know where to drill a well.  They ned to know where their sewer lines and water lines are so as to tie in to them if adding an addition to  a home.

According to those who dowse, one can also find anything uderground using dowsing rods.  Se books below.
